Do NOT Have Hair Transplant Surgery If…

donor-areas

We tend to take our youth and health for granted. Most of us assume that our luscious and a full head of hair will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

But the reality is, most of us lose our hair due to one or another reason. Major factors which affect our hair and cause it to fall out are genes, aging and poor lifestyle.

Hair Transplant:

But Hair Transplant is the most demanded hair loss treatment, which provides long-lasting, realistic and safe results within short span of time.

Male and female both can opt a hair transplant and can permanently cure their hair loss problem. But every victim of hair loss isn’t eligible to get a hair transplant, especially in the young age.

There are numerous factors which make a patient of hair loss, a bad candidate to opt a hair transplant surgery.

Do NOT Have Hair Transplant Surgery If…!!!

  • You are under 20 years old.
  • You are suffering from any health disorder like diabetes, cancer, thyroid disorder, lupus or any other health condition.
  • You are using the prescribed medications for your blood pressure or for birth control.
  • You don’t have a habit of eating healthy foods
  • You have insufficient donor hair supply like at the back or sides of your scalp.
  • you have a tight scalp
  • you have very thin hair or have low hair density
  • You are a victim of diffuse unpatterned alopecia (DUPA).

1.      You are under 20 years old:

If you get a hair transplant under the age of 25, then there is a higher risk of progressive hair loss in future. Hence, the amount of donor hair which is used in the procedure of hair transplant is very limited.

Because under the age of 25, the surgeon will be unable to predict your severity of hair loss. It’s especially for those people, who start losing their hair at a young age.

Most surgeons agree that the minimum age to get a hair transplant is around the age of 25. Because at this age, surgeons will be able to predict the future hair loss severity.

2.      You are suffering from any health disorder:

If you have any health condition then it’s very important that you should treat your medical condition before getting a hair transplant. As it will reduce the risks of post-procedure complications.

3.      You are using the prescribed medications:

If you have been using the prescribed medications for blood pressure, birth control or the painkillers. Then it’s recommended not to get a hair transplant without consulting a hair transplant surgeon at the hair transplant clinic.

4.      You don’t get sufficient nutrients in your diet:

If you have a habit of not eating healthy foods then your body has a deficiency of essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, iron etc. these nutrients boost your immune system which means that your wounds will quickly heal.

If your wounds after the hair transplant surgery don’t heal quickly then you may have a higher risk of infections, complications and the results might also be delayed.

5.      You have insufficient donor hair supply:

If your donor hair supply at your back or sides of your scalp isn’t sufficient and your bald patch on your scalp isn’t covered completely. Then you aren’t a good candidate to get a hair transplant surgery.

6.      You have a tight scalp:

The loose your scalp is, the easier for the hair transplant surgeon to perform a hair transplant surgery.

Because if your scalp is loose then the hair transplant surgeon will easily implant your extracted hair follicles into the tiny incisions at your recipient areas. But if you have a tighter scalp then you may not be a good candidate for hair transplant.

7.      You have very thin hair or have low hair density:

If your hair is very thin and has very less density then it’s very difficult to cover your bald spot by using your donor hair.

8.      You are a victim of diffuse unpatterned alopecia (DUPA):

If you are experiencing DUPA then you aren’t eligible to opt a hair transplant. Because your donor hair supply is also affected by hair loss and will eventually fall out after a hair transplant. So it would just be a waste of money and time.

9.      You Don’t have a sufficient financial support to opt for a hair transplant:

It seems like a harsh point but if you are financially unstable then you won’t be able to afford a hair transplant surgery.

Get a Hair Specialist Help:

If you are suffering from hair loss then first consider the above-mentioned factors of a bad candidate to get a hair transplant.

If you qualify in all of them, then you are a good candidate to opt for a hair transplant and the surgeon may recommend you to get an appropriate hair transplant procedure to permanently cure your hair loss.

But if you are under 20, then you aren’t eligible to opt for a hair transplant at the young age and the hair transplant surgeon may recommend you some non-surgical hair loss treatment options.
