Avoid Blow Drying:

It is strongly recommended to let your hair air dry. Exposing your hair to too much heat causes a great degree of damage to the hair follicles as well as the strands. Also, avoid using curling or straightening tools as their excessive heat can damage your hair making them prone to breakage. And if necessary, choose the lowest heat setting and do not let the tool remain in contact with your hair for more than 3 minutes. Shampooing twice a week, or at most every other day is good but even for that make sure you oil your hair before you shampoo.

Avoid Brushing Wet Hair

Wet hairs are thrice more prone to breakage than dry hairs. So, it is strongly recommended to avoid brushing them while they are still wet. After washing your hair, let them air dry completely and then brush them and style them the way you wet. If you absolutely need to brush your wet hair, use a wide-toothed comb, while de-tangling them carefully with your hands.

Eat Healthily:

Just like your skin, your hairs also speak about what you eat. So if you want your hairs to look strong and healthy, eat all the essential nutrients that your body utilizes for hair growth. These include iron, protein, vitamins A, E, and C, omega 3 fatty acids, biotin, zinc, and selenium. Make sure you eat a balanced diet containing a healthy mix of all of these nutrients.
