American singer and actor Joey Fatone was recently asked secret about his thicker and fuller head of hair and his response was:
“When you don’t like something about your body and become self-conscious about it, just change it and enjoy a better life.”
Thus accepting it openly that he has taken help of surgical hair restoration to change his fix his hair loss problem. But not many have the courage to accept it openly that they have sought help from medical treatments to enhance their appearance, especially when you are a celebrity. Hair loss, particularly is becoming a serious cause of concern for both men and women, with boys and girls as young as in their late teens shedding hairs.
Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, a celebrity or just an everyman, hair loss is equally painful. There is nothing more painful than seeing your hairs going in drain and dustbin every day, and it is even painful if this is happening to your 20s. Celebrities also dread losing hair and keep seeking various ways to hide their balding thatches – by shaving the entire head, attaching hairpieces to the balding areas, or by wearing wigs.
Joey Fatone was also not happy with his thinning crown area but he opted for a permanent fix – the hair transplant surgery. In his interview after surgery, the 38-year-old American singer and dancer admitted that he was feeling more confident after having his hair restored. Fatone is expecting his new look to help him take his career to the next level.
“Performing in front of a live audience can be pretty intimidating, so having a full head of hair was important to me,” said the heartthrob of the N Sync boy band. “Back then, I was the only one in the group getting thinner on top. I became self-conscious and started wearing hats more often,” he went on to add. The American Television personality further said that he does not care who knows the secret behind his fuller head of hair.
If you compare Fatone’s older photos with the latest ones you will notice a significant improvement in his hair density. And above all, you must have noticed that he has really stopped wearing hats. So are they out of fashion? No, just because Fatone does not need them anymore.
Hair Transplant surgery is probably the only treatment to date that offers permanent hair restoration. It is the most commonly performed procedure for androgenic alopecia patients. The procedure involves harvesting healthy, balding resistant hair follicles from the back or side of the head and transplanting them into the thinning or balding areas. Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) are the two most commonly used hair transplant techniques.
