Once these grafts are prepared, the surgeon uses the local anaesthesia once again. This time he numbs the area where the grafts will be places; which means that part of your scalp where there are less or no hairs.

The surgeon then punctures the scalp and makes holes in it. Once these holes are made, they are filled by these grafts that he created in the previous step.

This whole procedure takes approximately four to eight hours, depending upon the size of the scalp that needs to be covered and different hurdles which the surgeon might face throughout the process.
