Treatment for Hormonal Hair Loss in Dubai

Balding Man Holding Hair

Identify the Hair Loss Problem

Are you worried about a receding hairline? Are you losing a thick scalp? Do you feel that thin hair will or is having a negative impact on your personality at home and at work?

If this is the case then you certainly need to get hold of the situation before it really spills out of hand and you are left with a bald scalp. However, you cannot do this unless you know what is actually causing the problem.

Androgenetic alopecia, which is more commonly known as male/female baldness was only understood only a few decades ago which has helped in finding a solution to this centuries old problem.

Causes of Hair Loss

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT):

Dihydrotestosterone is the main culprit in hormonal hair loss. It is a derivative of the male hormone testosterone, and is actually poison for hair follicles. For simple understanding you need to understand that DHT wants the follicles dead.

Research suggests that the testosterone converts to DHT with the help of the enzyme Type II 5-alpha. This enzyme is found in the hair follicle’s oil glands. Scientists believe that hormonal hair loss might not occur due to the amount of testosterone but because of the level of DHT on the scalp of an individual.

Since testosterone levels are in play here, men are the obvious victims, but women aren’t far behind when it comes to baldness as they also contain enough levels of testosterone to have an impact on their hair.

Andogenetic Alopecia

This particular condition is commonly found in women as opposed to men. Women with this condition experience diffuse thinning on the scalp. However, men have more distinct patterns of baldness.

Telogen Effluviuman

This hair loss condition is triggered when the human body goes through a trauma that may include, major surgery, child birth, an infection, malnutrition and stress.
