Knowing your hair type is important as it can help determine a lot about your daily hair care regimen. The way you style your hair, your hair cut, the hair care products that you use all depend on the hair type that you wear. Does your tress fall flat with a little bit tinge of humidity? Do you spend hours on straightening your natural curls? Or you are always confused about styling your kinky locks? No matter what is your hair type, you just relax as we have prepared a comprehensive guide for women with all types of hair, from dead straight to fine mane, and from coarse strands to kinky locks. Besides that, in this article we will also share with you hair products and specific styling needs
But before discussing different hair types, let me share with you a simple test which you can use to determine your hair type. Wash your hair as usual using your regular shampoo. Don’t forget to condition your strands after shampooing them. Pat dry with a towel and let your hair air dry. Avoid using blow dryer or any other hair styling tool as this can change your hair texture. Untangle your locks using a wide-toothed comb. Now your tresses are closest to your natural hair type.
Compare your locks with the below mentioned hair types and find out which one is most closely related to your hair type.
Type 1: Straight Hair
There are numerous adjectives used to describe straight hair like greasy, oily, lifeless, frizzy and above all boring. But when thick and healthy and taken proper care of, no other type can match straight hairs. Especially long straight locks catch eye from distance. If your mane also falls flat and does not hold any noticeable curl, you have straight hair. And since straight hairs are mostly oily, you need to buy shampoos and conditioners made for oily hairs. To add volume to your lifeless straight hair, use dry texturizing spray at the roots before styling them.
Type 2: Wavy hair
Women usually covet natural waves and consider those with wavy hair to be the lucky ones. People with wavy hair have the perfect blend of curls and straight hairs. However, such people need to be very careful about their selection of hair care products. If your hair care regimen lacks the right combination of products, yours curls will either fall flat or your locks will become wavy and frizzy. Wavy hairs fall under the normal hair category, but more on the drier side. To prevent the crunch, simply finish your dry style with application of a few drops of any good quality, unscented hair oil. Also get deep conditioning treatment every week to prevent your wavy hair from becoming dry and frizzy.
Type 3: Curly hair
This is the hair type that has gained a lot of acceptance and appraisal over the past decade. Many celebs in west have been seen trending curly hair. A little more curly than the wavy hair, people with this hair type are often found complaining of dryness. If you also fall in this category, one simplest tip that we can offer is, say no to blow dryer. Since curly hairs are already very dry, they are susceptible to heat damage. To create smooth, bouncy curls that are not tight and sticky use a leave in conditioner followed by application of a light gel. To get the most out of styling products, apply them to hair while they are soaking wet and then let your locks air dry. To avoid crunchy curls, wash your hair with a cleansing conditioner. This will prevent your curly tresses from dispersing.
Type 4: Kinky hair
This type is the thickest, coarsest and driest of all types. The kinks prevent the moisture and styling products from getting to the scalp. This is the reason maintaining the humidity and shine is the biggest problem faced by the people with kinky hair. Determining actual length of hairs is near to impossible for people with this type of hair as the hair tends to shrink back to the roots. To keep your kinky locks in best possible shape, use hair care products made for extremely dry hair. Include light gels and styling butters to enhance the moisture content.

"I was really pleased with my experience at Dubai Cosmetic Surgery. I had to cancel the first date I booked, because of my daughter, but when I called them the next day, they fit us in that afternoon, which was really good. My mum and I went to a free consultation for Laser Assisted Liposuction, and it went very well. We were really impressed with the doctor, Dr. Juan Tadeo Krogulec - he was lovely. He spent as long as we needed with us, and didn't rush us. He was really thorough and not only did he answer all of our questions, he answered others we hadn't even thought of asking! I think that when the time comes for treatment we'll probably be going with them.".
I am very satisfied with my results. I strongly recommend this clinic for every one who wants great result and its very cheap to :). Dr. Cagtay and his team are very professional and do take care of their patients.".
