How to Make your Hair Grow Faster

Hair Grow Faster

We all wish to grow our hair at the fastest possible rate. But the fact is there is no magic to grow your hair overnight, neither do we have miracle cures for thinning hair. Nevertheless, there few things you can do to promote healthy hair growth. Listed below are some simple yet really effective tips you can do every day to grow your hair an inch a month.

  1. Drink more water:

Drinking enough water is important for the overall health of your body, but it is specifically important for maintaining a healthy hair and skin profile. Hydrating your body from inside out helps keep your locks strong, healthy, shiny and growing. If your body is not adequately hydrated, your tresses will become dull and dry, prone to breakage. Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. You can also meet your daily water requirement by drinking fresh juices and drinks. However, avoid drinking sugar-filled and caffeinated drinks.

  1. Get enough sleep:

Your sleeping patterns also play a key role in determining your skin and hair health. Make sure you get a recommended eight hours night sleep daily. If you will not get adequate sleep, your body lack the energy required to nourish your follicles and stimulate healthy hair growth. Studies have shown that hair grow more rapidly while you sleep. Similarly, not getting enough night sleep can trigger premature graying of hair.

  1. Eat balanced diet:

Your body needs almost every vitamin and mineral for healthy hair growth. These include proteins, iron, calcium, vitamins, omega 3 fatty acids, biotin, zinc, magnesium and sulfur. Make sure you eat a healthy, balanced diet containing all these essential nutrients.

  1. Exercise may help grow hair rapidly:

Regular workouts improve blood circulation in the entire body, including the scalp. An increased blood circulation in the scalp would mean better supply of blood and essential nutrients to the hair follicles. You can further enhance scalp circulation with a daily gentle scalp massage. Use any natural oil, such as olive oil, coconut oil or almond oil to gently massage your scalp daily or at least every other day.

  1. Avoid excessive shampooing:

There is a common misconception that washing your hair daily helps maintain a clean and healthy head of hair. But in reality, excessive shampooing deprives your scalp and hair of the essential oils necessary to keep your locks soft and smooth. This makes hair dull, dry and brittle, prone to breakage and tangles. Shampoo your hair twice a week, and if necessary in between, just rinse your hair and condition them. If you have oily hair, shampoo on alternate days, but daily shampooing must be avoided at any cost.

  1. Avoid direct sun exposure:

Ultraviolet rays of sun are damaging for your locks. Never expose your hair to direct sunlight, especially during peak hours (10am to 4 pm). If necessary to go out, cover your head with a hat or umbrella. Use of conditioners containing sun protection factor is also recommended.
